Foundation History of NSU: North-South University is the first private university of Bangladesh. Some educationalists, industrialists, bureaucrats and academics took the step of establishing this. With the approval of government and UGC, it started educational program in 1993. In the month of language movement, on 10th February the Prime Minister inaugurated this university. The first class for freshmen held with 137 students. Starting with only three departments, North-South University is raising the number of its studious circle.

Administration: The administrative structure is organized perfectly. Vice chancellor directly runs the university. In the absence of VC, Pro-VC acts at his position. From staffs to professors, everyone is friendly in here. Teachers and lecturers are highly qualified. Every one of them acquired a degree from abroad universities. English is the language which is being used in campus for communication. The term is compulsory for everyone. This helps to know and practice more English as a foreign language.

Location and Campus of North-South University: Campus is located in Bashundhara city area. This is the central point of Dhaka. The campus is decorated with student lounge, library, laboratories etc. There is also a cafeteria where students can take rest between classes. A place for group study is also provided here. North-South University campus is advanced with high-tech devices. Students can use Wi-Fi in this campus.

Educational System and Courses of NSU: Variety subjects under schools are available in North-South University. Every subject is equally given importance by teachers. Teachers take care of weak students. Regular assignment and tutorials are taken in here. This improves subject knowledge and quality of a student. Student’s Activities of North-South University: Starting with 137 students in first batch, now North-South University is serving more than 15 thousands students from their campus. Students try heart and soul to get a first class result. Nowadays they are participating in many competitions. In every competition, students are acquiring honor and prizes. The reputation of them is raising high day by day. Recently, students participated in the creation of video documentary for cricket world cup in Bangladesh. Convocation is a regular process of being graduate and getting certificate from North-South University. In this ceremony, great personalities deliver speeches. Their guidelines become only asset for the next life. Again the relation become bonded while leaving the campus. Students also get a chance to complete internship from the campus.
