ULAB: University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh

ULAB which is elaborately known as University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh is one of the best universities with the touch of culture. There is much reputation about ULAB. Even with competition with other private universities, this varsity comes out far from there. Unique and own style of teaching, proper administration behavior, environment of campus have made this university greater than the most other universities. History of the University: A person named “Kazi Shahid Ahmed” first thought of building a university. From the thinking, ULAB was permitted by UGC in 2003. Officially the programs of ULAB started on 1st October, 2004. As the goal of the nation was to build the nation with higher studies, the quality was the first priority all the time. Ever since the university was established, the maintenance was very organized. Every student was aware of being a student of ULAB. With the ceremony of inauguration, students finally got the reputation. 

Location of Campuses of ULAB: The first campus of ULAB was situated in Mohakhali, Dhaka. When the area expanded, more buildings were needed. Purpose of building a different campus was taken in consideration in 2006. The second campus of ULAB was built in Dhanmondi area. After the second campus, third campus also took place. It was also built in Dhanmondi. Advantages and environment of campus are very attractive. A friendly relationship is maintained by the teachers and students. There is a cafeteria in each campus of ULAB. Library is well organized.

Administrative Structure of ULAB: From the first convocation of ULAB, late honorable president of Bangladesh Zillur Rahman got himself attracted in this university. Now the present honorable president Abdul Hamid is the chancellor of this university. Vice chancellor plays the most important role for the university. He has to maintain all the administrative works. Maintaining three campuses is in his hands.

Courses and Fees of ULAB: Courses of ULAB are much more affordable for the common people of Bangladesh. A student with excellent result gets scholarship for his studying in here. Every year students get themselves admitted in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The faculties approve students with science and arts background. Every student gets the same care from the teachers.

Activities of Students of ULAB: There are almost 5000 students in ULAB. The number of students is raising day by day. It has become one of the promising private universities of Bangladesh. Students are participating in national and international competitions. They are also getting honor and praise.

Objectives of ULAB: The university is very clear with the mission and objectives. Spreading education throughout the country and making people conscious about higher education are the main objectives of ULAB. Every student feels proud of being in here.

ULAB is being considered as an advanced private university. A student who wants to get higher education of western level, must get himself admitted in this university.
